On a recent project, we were hired by Almond Estates in Wigan to prepare four of their Preston-based plots so that new buyers could choose their luxury vinyl flooring.
The preparation project allowed the Galloway Flooring team the space to work with one of our latest suppliers, Oneflor Europe, and the floor preparation products provided by UZIN UK.
Our team repaired some voids in the plot subfloors using Uzin SC980 rapid dry mortar - quick-drying cement which allowed for mechanically abrading the subfloor to remove laitance and contamination quickly. We followed with two coats of Uzin PE480 2-component epoxy DPM and Uzin PE280 primer.
Our team completed the job by installing a 3mm coat of Uzin NC196 Fibre-Reinforced Smoothing Compound, an easy-to-apply and low-stress product with unbeatable absorbency.
